Welcome Ninjago fans! My nephew Alex turned eight this year and he wanted a Ninjago themed party. I made a surprise appearance just in time to help out with this event. I’m so happy I did and I’m really glad Alex loved how it turned out. It is hard to find this theme in the stores so we really had to get creative. We used a lot of Ninjago eye cutouts and placed them on different items such as the balloons, favor bags and juice boxes.
I wanted to make sure that it felt like a combination of ninja and lego theme. I was able to find a tablecloth and dessert plates that were Lego themed at Walmart.
Overview of the final cake table.
Balloons on each side of the backdrop.
Ninjago eyes were taped to the black balloons.
The green backdrop is a tablecloth from Party City. The eyes were drawn by hand on yellow poster board. The swords were from the dollar tree and were added on each side. I downloaded a ninja themed font on dafont.com and printed out the letters of his name.
Juice barrels with Ninjago eyes and the straws were taped to the back.
Gift bags were filled with candies and toys.
Lego themed dessert plates
The table before everything else was added to it.
For the Lego props I used shoe boxes and empty cardboard boxes and different colored wrapping paper. For the circles I used sticky back foam sheets, cut them into circles, and stuck them onto the boxes for a 3-D effect.
The drinks table.
Ninjago eyes were added to each of the punch drink dispensers.
Green Hawaiian Punch.
The best part…..CAKE!! Happy Birthday Alexander!
I hope you enjoyed!
